Holding Pattern
This show reflected the 28 caregiving trips that cost financially, emotionally, and environmentally, yet gave me perspective and solace over and over. This holding space between life on the ground and the sun—was where I could feel most free.
Dismantled airplane vessel prints, reclaimed transitory “avion” objects occupying the space we move through, abstraction in its ethereal cloud layers. Climbing higher or lower to avoid turbulence, to find smoothness. Beautiful live-edged maple aerial blocks, a continuous 10.5 yard debossed roll of monoprints and blind impressions in sprocket forms, all hold singular imprints on our psyche transmitted through the force the press, of metal on organic matter.
